"Mob" hires a high-powered lawyer, accuses Max of all the abuse, portrays him as an out-of-control bully, brings in evidence from the Melissa incident, the wrestling accident (he puts an opposing wrestler in a coma), and the football incident (he breaks several of Michael's ribs when sacking him in the championship?)
The total lack of evidence for physical abuse on Max (Healing Factor = no scars) means the case hinges on his sister's testimony, but she's afraid, so he choooses to plead guilty to save her the further trauma
He's sentenced to 10 years in prison for Manslaughter

suffers from lots of attacks, but refuses to get drawn into any of the prison groups, manages to keep putting his attackers in the infirmary, and attacks continue to escalate to more and more lethal methods

Attacks - White Van with various insignia (changed) - 2-3 caucasians 6' tall, one shorter asian in suits - S.C.R.E.T. teams in body armor heavy energy weapons and high tech gear - including a dart-like object that seems extremely effective in taking down targets, though i haven't been hit - 4 separate attacks since being released:
- December 10, 2005, 4-man team, dispatched relatively easily
- January 21, 2006 - 6-man squad
- March 4, 2006 - 10-man squad
- April 22, 2006 - 16-man squad
Working for Tony Laparza "Laparza Pizza and Italian Subs" - treated relatively well, well-trusted, was in charge of closing, attacked on my way home to my apartment (Apr22) - trashed the entire restaurant and the apartment above, along with serious damage to the surrounding buildings - I escaped down an alley before authorities showed up
Attack a local gang, steal a bike, drive to Vegas - lay low, avoid asking around for Sarah in an effort to avoid attention

Will willingly engage in violence - doesn't trust easily - after his years in prison, he's barely affected by violence at all
Killed a highly connected mafioso while in prison - every time they bring him out of solitary, others try to kill him, and after his "miraculous" release, the gangs have a contract on his head - heesponds by knocking over mafia joints for cash and staying on the run
