Gargoyle Race
From Toosigma
Background
I'm a big fan of Buena Vista's Gargoyles Cartoon show. It had a lot of depth and detail that other cartoons simply didn't, and had a wide array of intriguing storylines. Given my recent conversion to D&D 4th Edition, I thought I'd take a stab at making them a playable race. Since I'm not perfectly familiar with the system yet, it's entirely possible this first attempt will be horribly unbalanced, but I'll endeavor to re-balance it as I learn.
One thousand years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness. It was a world of fear. It was the age of Gargoyles! Stone by day, warriors by night. We were betrayed by the humans we were sworn to protect, frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. Now here in Manhattan, the spell is broken, and we live again!
