Scene #1 - Felucian Village
- Village carved out of mushrooms, old and petrified
- Felucians squatting around fire in center of town - turn to look at us
- Kyp notices a human in the village - stringy hair, rugged weather worn appearance
- Riet and Kyp decide to make a diplomatic overture - almost no reaction until we're in the middle of the village, they don't make any move to stop us, human takes interest
- human grabs Riet, drags him into a hut on the edge of village - tiny hut - Felucian eating something in the corner
- human apparently happy we're anti-Imperial - Vazis Mandrake - was a commander for the separatists during the Clone Wars, unit wiped out by Clones, has been living off the land until he found this village - Imperials have been tormenting the Felucians
- summon the rest of the party
- Felucians seem unflappable, mostly just curious to see us
- introductions - we share some dinner
- Vazis shares intel - about 3 hrs fromm the village, a sizable Imp force in a two-story building, troopers on speeder recon, he's worried that they'll overrun the village - AT-ST
- Felucians call it the "Vanishing Place" - patrols don't usually make it this far out, but they are expanding their routes - Shamans visited, but came back terrified and emotionally scarred
- Bunk in for the night - Riet, Valee and Skarr are in for medical attention
- Dort sees a cluster of huts, with crying coming it - walks in, no weapons, Daken handles his blaster - possibly children, making a wailing noise and thrashing around - sickly gray skin (not the normal blue) atrophied muscles
- few days, incubation 1-2 weeks, 10-15 have died - scouts are the usual ones infected, doesn't seem to be contagious - notice a small injection site, stay up all night to treat it - seems to make a difference, they are now resting comfortably - Felucians seem pleased with our efforts
- the surgery on the kids seems intentional - possible that the detention center is something more - a research station of some sort?
- Vazis introduces us to the chief - takes us to the special hut - elderly Felucian, shrunken tendrils, withered/blackened arm, Vazis talks to him for a while, then they come up - chief sniffs at us, lingers on Daken (who hears whispers in his head), pauses again at Kyp and Dort (also hears whispers) - mutters to Vazis, asks us to reiterate our mission, Chief gives us his blessing, offers to send a scout with us - wants to talk to the Force guys in private - Riet, Valee, Skarr head out to do breakfast
- Vazis stays to translate - chief is curious about the force powers - Felucians are all force sensitive, especially the shamans - asks to share secrets - they learn Force Blast, teach him in return, agrees to train the more after the mission
- Vazis asks for demolitions experts, shows us a big explosive charge - probably big enough to destroy the comms array - we agree
Scene #2 - About to leave for the detention center
- talking to Vazis, overhear scout trooper, he turns around and heads back into the jungle - Vazis loans us some Kybucks - Kyp tears off under Force power, almost catches
- no one really seems to be capable of riding, though Dort takes masterful control of his mount, and tears off after the speeder - Daken and Riet nearly get bucked off - massive fungal swamp with large puddles and lots of splashing, we can hardly see anything more than a short distance away
- Valee manages a masterful ride check, pulls within long range, snipes trooper for 17
- Skarr gets a little sidetracked, Riet/Valee dive into undergrowth bouncing through rough terrain, Daken, Dort, and Kyp charge through a hollowed-out tree, underground tunnels zipping through hanging moss and occasional shafts of light - Daken runs into hanging roots and falls off the Kybuck, taking 1 damage
- Skarr catches up, dives into foliage
- Rancor leaps from the swampland, tries to grab someone, but fails
- Daken finally escapes the tunnel
- small clearing with a river, leading to a narrow valley - speeder kicks up a large wake - Riet and Dort struggle to stay mounted, and Kyp's Kybuck stumbles briefly - Skarr and Daken catch up second round - overtake the speeder reaching a comms station - 4 troopers, two speeders
- Valee charges up close and fires on the comm tower
- Dort rides in - draws his quarterstaff
- Riet rides up, misses a shot against a trooper
- Speeder fires cannon at Kyp - misses
- Speeder fires at Dort, misses
- Trooper shoots at Dort, hits for 11, second hits for 21 - knocks him unconscious
- Trooper shoots Valee for 15 - second misses
- Speeder hits Kyp for 22
- Trooper shoots Valee - second hits, but Valee turns at the last second - third shoots and misses
- Kyp Force Blasts speeder, knocks him unconscious
- Valee hits stormtrooper for 11, moves to cover
- Skarr takes a chunk out of a speeder trooper
- Speeder shoots at Skarr, misses
- Riet patches up Valee's injury
- Daken charges recklessly - gets hit for 10, but negates the hit - battle-strike for no bonus, misses his attack
- Troopers shoot at Daken, one misses, the second hits for 16
- Valee misses a trooper
- Skarr takes out a trooper with a blaster shot
- Daken Force Blasts the last trooper
- Riet fixes up Dort, Kyp, and Daken - call comes in over the array, Skarr bullshits the base, but they're still sending a trooper(s) to investigate - ETA 10 mins
- Skarr steals some trooper armor
- Riet sets the antenna to the static-noise channel, wrecking the array
- dump the remaining bodies in the river, head back to the village
- Riet pulls the tracking devices and jams the comms from the speeder bikes
- Skarr nearly gets his head blown off by Vazis - we're eventually able to convince them he's on our side, but they won't let him into the village with the armor
- rest overnight so we can level up
Scene #3 - Voyage to the detention center
- wake up in the morning, scout leads us, rough terrain, 30 mins to arrive
- squat 2-story gray walled building, no windows, plain visage - second story is much smaller, with blinking lights - blast door entry, single gun turrent to the left of the entrance - stormtrooper guards and scout troopers on patrol
- heavy thudding sounds in the distance - some kind of walker
- start planning our entrance - Felucian shows us something around back - NW of facility, closer to building, find a vent in the floor, Riet unbolts, crawls inside
- vent opens immediately into a hallway leading E and S - Felucian retreats into the woods
- we head E - find a med bay, command/prison, turbolifts, and a storage closet - hack our way into the storage closet w/cleaning supplies
- Skarr/Daken scout in armor - break into comm room, 3x Imp comm operators, 1 officer (lieutenant)
- (surprise) Daken walks up to stun the officer, misses
- Skarr shoots the officer for 10
- Daken stun batons again - drops the officer
- Skarr drops one of the operators
- Dort charges down the hall
- Operator shoots at Daken, misses
- Daken sprays the console, misses
- Skarr takes out the operator working the console
- Riet/Valee/Kyp prepare to defend the closet
- Daken headshots the last operator
- Skarr finds out they sent an alarm - fails spectacularly to rescind the alarm
- Arsenio Troopers come out of the turbo-lift - Kyp fires: hits for 11, drops him, Valee shoots, misses
- Daken, Skarr, and Dort come out of the comes room, Riet continues to cover the area
- Valee shoots and drops a trooper
- Kyp shoots at the lone remaining trooper - hits for 5
- Trooper returns fire, misses
- Daken drops the last trooper
- Riet rescinds the alarm, notices an incoming message - Inquisitor Draco from Prakith Citadel to transfer Varth - Varth will be shuttled and pumped full of interrogation drugs - ~20 hrs before the transfer takes place
- Riet downloads message to datapad, try to con the prison guards to release Varth to confirm he's in good condition before interrogation - gives datapad to Skarr/Daken, who head into the Command/Prison center
- narrow corridor, large holding area, two smaller rooms on either side to defend against intruders or escaping prisons
- pair of droids, and 2 non-uniformed humanoid guards - apparently, the Admiral had already been back for his checkup - Riet runs to comm room to falsify orders, manages to send some BS info that gets the order processed
- instead of individual cells, there is a single holding area filled with prisoners, including the Admiral - a slightly overweight man with bushy mustache, bruised and bloodied from mistreatment
- Skarr manages a lie - escorts the Admiral out of the prison
Scene #4 - Escaping the Detention Center
- Walker and lots of troops outside the hatch - head back into the medbay
- there is a doctor/interrogator armed, 2 felucians undergoing some mutation, arm replaced with bone-blade and thick scales
- Skarr takes out the doctor, but misses the droid, as does Daken (twice)
- Valee runs into the doorway, tries to extract the Admiral
- Dort runs for the other door
- Kyp charges to the front of the party, defending the Admiral - shoots and misses the Felucian
- Felucian jumps off the table, Kyp counter attacks, hits for 12 - it takes a swipe at him: hits for 5
- second Felucian attacks Daken, misses
- Skarr sidesteps and takes out the first Felucian with a well-placed blaster shot
- Daken hits second Felucian for 18 - still standing
- Dort draws saber, prepares to charge Felucian
- Kyp shoots droid - misses
- Felucian attacks Daken, crits for 30, nearly kills him
- Skarr kills the droid, viciously
- Valee calls Sirona for extraction
- Daken fires and misses, takes a second wind
- Valee tries to disable the alarm (?)
- Dort charges the second Felucian - hits for 12, taking him down
- Riet heals Daken for 18
- Turbolift upstairs - access denied, steal lieutenant's code cyl - upstairs to command center - filled with terminals and consoles, lift leading up to the roof - dark man with twisted claw hands and evil glare - towering Felucian monstrosities with boneblades and chitinous plates and 4 stormtroopers
- Valee shoots/misses
- Skarr shoots/misses
- Riet shows them how it's done, dropping a stormtrooper
- Kyp shoots stormtrooper - hits for 14, drops him
- Felucian attacks Skarr - misses
- Daken battlestrike/rifle - hits for 18
- Dort charges Felucian - misses
- Valee attacks Felucian 2 - misses
- Skarr attacks Felucian 1 - misses
- Riet shoots Felucian 1 - critical - drops him
- Kyp races for lift to roof, gets hit by stormtrooper for 9 - Kyp fires back for 9 damage
- Daken heads to lift, fires at stormtrooper - misses
- Dort heads to lift
- stormtrooper shoots at Dort, misses
- Valee shoots Felucian 2 - hits for 18
- Skarr readies a grenade
- Riet moves to lift, breaks his streak, misses
- trooper auto-fires at party - misses
- Riet moves to disengage lock - it's read only - shoots at trooper, misses
- Kyp fires at trooper - hits for 8
- Felucian 2 charges Valee - hits for 19
- Daken shoots Felucian 2 for 19 - takes him down
- Bossguy shoots at Dort - aids trooper to shoot party
- Trooper shoots at Riet/Kyp - misses
- Skarr throws grenade, frags trooper
- Dort Force Strikes bossguy for 8
- Riet shoots - misses
- Kyp shoots bossguy for 7 - drops him
- Riet heals Valee for 18 - Valee retrieves code cylinder - access comp, activate lifts, Skarr/Daken/Kyp head up to clear roof, everyone else stays to pull data (med logs, troop movements, base locations) then head up
- Sirona comes in hot - we all board, Kyp brings up the rear - Riet blows the base
- escape into space, hyperspace - head for rendezvous with starship in Zandrak system - 6 days travel
- Gil Varth apparently doesn't know the ultimate source - didn't know Organa was the head of the resistance
- Resurgence - Nebulon-B frigate - Adrian Verana Captain, tall slender, black hair - Alderaanian - 3000 apiece !!!
- Varth escorted away - Organa grateful - offered permanent quarters, likely to need more services in future - don't want to incriminate Organa
- Verana concerned that something more involved is happening after learning about Inquisitor Draco
