Politeness in Rejection

A response letter from the Smithsonian institute in regard to a recently submitted archaeological specimen. Just precious.

Now if only I could be so politic when addressing the wild claims of those around me. It’s especially fitting because a good friend of mine recently gave me a thirty-page treatise on why the theory of evolution is wrong, and why we should all believe in Intelligent Design. I must resist the urge to bring forth the Flying Spaghetti Monster. So far, I’ve managed to limit myself to a point-by-point denouncement of every semi-credible argument (a list that ran just shy of 15 pages). I would have denounced the credible arguments too, but there weren’t any, to my disappointment. (I was really hoping to have a meaningful debate on the topic - this is more like a slaughter.)
