Star Wars hype
The release of the EpIII has managed to regenerate some of the traffic to my aging Star Wars page. I’ve gotten no less than a dozen requests for information from people wanting to make their own lightsabers and glowy effects. (And for someone who gets maybe two messages a year from the site, a dozen seems like an awful lot.)
For anyone interested in adding cool FX to your lightsaber duels, the tutorial I originally used is still available. You can also find instructions on building the hilts for your props. I just finished my first lightsaber project, and I hope to have pics up soon. (Read: when I get my gallery software working, and finishing rearranging everything with mod_rewrite).
